Dear Argentina Exchange Community,
These days it seems we have found every possible means to see the beautify of Argentina and more specifically, Rafaela. We arrived into Buenos Aires and ultimately to Rafaela by plane. We saw the landscape between Rafaela and Rosario via bus. Yesterday, we walked the city of Rafaela and visited the Museum the Court House, the Plaza Central and the Cathedral..all by foot. Tomorrow, we will go to see the Turismo Rural and finally on Saturday, we will experience the Omnibus as we return for an overnight trip to Buenos Aires.
Before we set our minds forward, we look to the activities from yesterday and for today. I am awaiting a beautiful picture of our group during our 1 hour 1/2 presentation of musical instruments from around the continent. It was a fascination presentation which was both musical and informative. The students were able to try the different musical instruments and finally we receive a private concert from some famous figures.
Today, we will be on the radio at 1pm and at 5pm. This will be a wonderful test of our communication skills. I know that the kids will do a fantastic job!
We will let you know how it all goes a little later....
ps, please take the time to look through the Westminster blog. I hope you enjoy.

The trip has been a really great experience so far, and everyone is having a great time.
Yesterday we visited the home of a collector of musical instruments and learned a lot about traditional music genres and types. He was so amazing; he was able to play dozens of instruments very well, and invited a friend of histo sing for us. The best part was when a man with a camera came in and filmed us to put us on the news.
After school we walked around the centro, shopping and taking pictures of the park and the town hall buildings. We visited numerous boutiques and enjoyed ourselves.
Today we plan to visit a local radio station, and be interviewed live!
Everything is going really well. We will be leaving Rafaela on SAturday, and going on to Buenos Aires and Iguazu.

Im sure you all are aware of the tension betweem el Campo and the Government. The Campo is frustrated with the delay of action from the govenment and they are protesting.
Well on our trip back fro Rosario we experienced their protest first hand. Eventhough i was half sleep on our way back i nocticed the trucks parked alongside the road and the fire pits in the middle of the street.
the road block took about an hour away from our time but i was a memorable experience!
again i am loving my stay here i dont want to leave yet :(

I love rafaela!! everything about this place is absolutely wonderful; the people, the food, the school, the lifestyle. the music presentation yesterday was great along with the walking tour of rafaela. i was really nervous about the radio but everything ended up going smoothly and it was really fun. we leave here on saturday but i wish we could stay another week or so. all the students have grown so close to eachother i´m going to be so sad when we have to leave them. this trip has been an overall incredable experience with definite ups and downs but in the end only positive outcomes. i can´t wait until they come to visit us :)
